Bulgaria Ranks 54 in a World Classification of Tourism Development
05.03.2007Bulgaria takes 54th place in the World Classification for conditions of tourism's development. This classification was made for first time this year by the World Economy Forum. Two places before Bulgaria ranked Turkey and Latvia. Romania took position 76. According to the report, Switzerland, Austria and Germany offer the most attractive conditions in the sector. The other countries in the top 10 are: Iceland, USA, Hong Kong, Canada, Singapore, Luxembourg and Great Britain. Main factors that introduce the classification are: state policy, regulations on environmental saving and protection, security, health and hygiene conditions, infrastructure, IT, human resources and others.
